Computer classes held at 3 locations

OASIS San Diego is now offering on-site computer classes at a new OASIS computer lab at 1702 Camino del Rio North, San Diego. Computer classes also are being offered at La Jolla's Florence Riford Senior Center, 6811 La Jolla Blvd., and Clairemont Friendship Center, 4425 Bannock Ave. The six-week sessions are offered to people age 50 and older. The cost is $70, which includes three months of computer lab use and a manual. Registration: Shawna Yaley, (619) 574-0674.

Special events
 Come see seniors entertaining seniors on George Washington's birthday. Actors from The Institute of Continued Learning will perform at University City Senior Center, 3813 Governor Drive, 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Be sure to come early and reserve a seat for noon lunch for $4.50. Call Irene at (858) 550-5998. If you want to celebrate all day, come at 10 a.m. for gentle movement exercises with Brenda and a performance by Barbara Banks, singer and pianist, from 11 a.m. to noon.

There will be a free Senior Housing Expo event for mature adults interested in housing alternatives, reverse mortgages, financing for residential options, home safety and security, assisted living and more. Get valuable information to help you plan for housing in the later years, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, La Mesa Community Center, 4975 Memorial Drive, La Mesa. Information: (619) 464-0505.

Trips and tours
On May 8, join DayTripper Tours on a five-day journey to Zion and Bryce Canyon national parks in Southwestern Utah. See Calico Ghost town, the Zion tunnel, monoliths of Bryce Canyon, crimson-colored landscapes of Nevada's Valley of Fire, Las Vegas, and enjoy a dinner cruise on Lake Mead.
